Jack loves Gwendolen. Algernon loves Cecily. Cecily and Gwendolen love Ernest. Ernest doesn’t exist. Amidst a brilliant flurry of mistaken identity, witty banter and cucumber sandwiches, Oscar Wilde masterfully weaves a comic tale of love and manners. Skin Horse’s vibrant production infused this beloved classic with the music of The Smiths, and brought a contemporary energy to a century old text.
